Our Tea Room has recently had a makeover, with new lighting, soft furnishings and interior décor which we are very excited to share with you. The walls have been painted a rich Dutch blue, embellished with touches of copper/ brass, vintage mirrors and botanical foliage to keep things feeling fresh, modern but still with a rugged Scottish ambience. Not forgetting our abundant cake display which welcomes our guests as they arrive. The room is reminiscent of the French patisseries of Queen Anne’s childhood so the Tea Room is really fit for Royalty!

Welcome to the Tea Rooms at Edinburgh Castle

Some things never change – Guests can view exquisite cakes and home bakes on arrival. It’s difficult to choose… they all look devine!

It looks terrific. Must visit soon

  • We were in Scotland at the end of April. We visited the Castle, but we did not know there was a Tea Room. I am so disappointed. It would have been grand to take tea
on such a blustery day. The staff at the Castle were wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate
    my disability. Thank you!

Do you have to book afternoon tea in advance?
